Pemota Consultancy is three!

Three years. A short time for mankind, but a solid period for a startup like Pemota Consultancy … 😉

To be fair, Pemota didn’t quite start from scratch, as we were able to build on more than two decades of experience in the wonderful world of European Works Councils. With that experience I’m able to put these last three years in a somewhat bigger perspective and notice the ever growing need for practical and experienced support on EWC matters. Because questions are becoming more complex, the field continues to develop, and with the new European Directive ahead, many organisations are looking for guidance.

These three years have also reconfirmed to me the importance of trust, credibility and practical experience. EWC work is never just about legal rules or structures on paper. It is about understanding the dynamics and the people involved, and building relationships over time.

Of course, building a thriving business in three years hasn’t always been easy. It often involved a great deal of travelling and long days. But at the same time it is also genuinely rewarding.
What I like most about it is the real connection with the groups I support, and to be able to deliver meaningful contributions in situations that are often very important and sensitive to many people.

I also truly enjoy the fact that this work gives me the opportunity to get behind the scenes of so many different businesses: visiting factories, understanding their day-to-day reality, and talking to employees and representatives about the issues that matter to them. In addition I enjoy the fact that I now work with an expanding network of trusted experts. This gives confidence for the future and creates opportunities to continue this work in a strong and sustainable way.

Finally, I am grateful for the trust I have received from clients, EWC members, employee representatives, partners and others over the past years. Step by step, I feel that Pemota is building momentum and is increasingly recognised as a serious partner in the EWC field. So a big thankyou to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. I look forward to what lies ahead!
